Fresh out of school thinking I was done
Waiting for the calls to come

I realized no one cares about my hungry eyes

Where they tell you that tomorrow might not be so fun
I guess I’ll have to make it up someday
Can I get credit for the way I feel today?

Whatever happened to the lazy days with all my friends?
Watching our money go away as the game ends
Even if we won, we just played again
The days you don’t forget, money well spent

Now I’m watching everyone venture out
Trying to see what the real world is all about
One by one disappearing down the aisle
Maybe I should start to think about my life

I’m ready for more
Now I’m ready to explore
Finally I’m where I want to be

When all I had to do was sleep until the night came
I used to revel in the way I wasn’t tied to anything
But the time has come to make a choice where I stand
